Project Summary

In one of Bucharest's newest buildings, we partnered with a major corporate client to enhance their office acoustics. The objective was to reduce echo and improve sound quality in multiple office spaces, achieving a comfortable and productive working environment. Our team installed over 1000 panels within four days, tailoring the design for each office to meet the client's unique needs and aesthetic preferences.

Scope of Work

  • Site assessment and measurements
  • Custom acoustic design using a mix of 3D visualisation
  • Selection of acoustic panels in various sizes, thicknesses, and colours
  • Installation of panels in 6 different office types
  • Daily progress updates to ensure timely completion

Challenge

The client needed a quick and efficient acoustic solution to reduce echo in their office spaces. The primary challenges were:

  • Limited availability of wall space due to large glazed areas.
  • The need for a rapid installation to minimise disruption.
  • Achieving a cohesive design with limited colour and size options initially.

Solution

To tackle these challenges, we used DECIBEL's textile acoustic panels and WAVO perforated wood acoustic panels. Initially, only two colours and sizes were selected, but we later expanded to three colours and varied thicknesses to create a stunning 3D effect. We covered as much of the available wall space as possible to maximise acoustic efficiency.

Our approach included:

  • Using textile panels in 30x30 cm and 60x60 cm sizes.
  • Incorporating WAVO panels in select offices for added acoustic performance.
  • Custom designing each office layout to ensure optimal sound absorption.

Products Used

  • Textile Acoustic Panels:
    • Dimensions: 30x30 cm and 60x60 cm.
    • Colours: Three different shades for a 3D visual effect.
  • WAVO Wood Acoustic Panels:
    • Installed in two specific offices for enhanced sound control.

Result

The acoustic improvement in the offices was significant, with a noticeable reduction in echo. The employees appreciated the new colour schemes and the 3D design, which added a modern touch to the workspace. We successfully installed over 1000 panels across various office areas, each with a unique design. The project was completed in just four days, demonstrating our efficiency and commitment to quality.

Choosing the Best Acoustic Solution

In modern office environments, poor acoustics can lead to reduced productivity and increased stress levels. Echo and noise can disrupt concentration and hinder communication. Effective acoustic treatment, like the one implemented in this project, enhances sound quality, making offices more comfortable and conducive to work.

When selecting acoustic solutions, it's crucial to consider both functionality and aesthetics. Opt for materials that are eco-friendly and customisable to fit your design preferences. Acoustic panels should not only reduce noise but also complement the office decor, creating a harmonious and pleasant workspace.
